Ventia shows financial strength in uncertain market

Serviced office provider and property consultancy Ventia Ltd announced its year-end figures this week. In just three years of trading Ventia has managed to take advantage of the resilient London serviced office market, despite the general downturn, and achieved a turnover of £4,256,290 and a net profit of £793,617.

Ventia has built a portfolio of 18 boutique business centres since opening its first site in July 2009, mainly focused in Central London, and is looking to increase its number of sites within these key Central London locations.

In this last fiscal year alone Ventia has bucked the market trend, securing six sites in Central London. Ventia’s most recent acquisitions expand its ever-growing portfolio to include the West End’s Thirty-six Soho Square, Noho’s Audley House on Margaret Street, mid-town’s Two John Street and Eight Thomas Street at London Bridge. Each site, once secured, is renovated and modernised to meet Ventia’s exacting standards.

Founded in 2009 by Steve Baker and co-director Dan Wheble, both veterans of the industry with over twenty years of experience under their collective belt, they wanted to take serviced offices to the next level and provide quality, bespoke ‘boutique’ serviced offices.

Director Steve Baker comments, “We are thrilled to have built a solid business in just three years and are really pleased with this year’s results, which reinforce the fact that we are in the right market with a product that is connecting strongly with our customers. We have a great team at Ventia who make it happen.’

Ventia currently has some 2,200 workstations in its portfolio of 18 London and South East sites. Half the sites are operated under management agreements, and half under a leasehold model.

Ventia strives to provide a unique service to its clients, ensuring that each part of the process is anything but ‘off the peg’. From the buildings Ventia acquires, to the space and facilities provided, the décor and feel created, and the rates and packages agreed – everything is tailored to the client’s requirements.

As with all Ventia offices, each site is refurbished to a very high standard. Working in partnership with an interior designer, the offices offer stylish, contemporary interiors with a boutique feel. Mainly set in period buildings of 5–15,000 square feet of space, they are unbranded and fully furnished, offering a unique space which can be tailored to each individual business need.

Clients receive high-speed broadband as standard, with industry-beating IT and telecoms packages provided by VTSL. This is alongside a dedicated on-site team who act as company receptionists, assisting with the day-to-day running of an office. All costs are pooled into a monthly fee per workstation.
