CBRE’s flexible workspace provider Hana set to launch first three UK locations in London

CBRE’s flexible workspace provider Hana is set to launch its first three UK locations in the capital by late 2019. The firm already has two offices in the US (in Dallas, Texas and Irvine, California) and is now expanding to the UK with new sites at 70 St Mary Axe, 245 Hammersmith, and St. Martin’s Court.

Commenting on the expansion, Hana CEO Andrew Kupiec said: “We are delighted to launch Hana in the UK with three superb buildings, all of which provide a perfect fit for our unique solution – creating flexible workspaces that are designed to meet the needs of high-growth and enterprise companies as well as provide more transparency and upside for the property owners.”

St Martin’s Court is comprised of 100,000 sq ft of office space which will be occupied by 500 CBRE employees whilst their headquarters at Henrietta House are undergoing development. The space will then be made available to other tenants in early 2021.

Hana will occupy the second, third and fourth floors of 70 St Mary Axe, which is being developed in partnership with global investment manager Nuveen Real Estate. Communal spaces in the building will include retail, event and lounge spaces called Hana Meet and Hana Share.

Director of offices for Nuveen Real Estate, Peter Neal, said: “We are excited to be working with Hana to bring flexible working to the building, with the partnership forming the central part of the enhanced amenity provision for occupiers at 70 St Mary Axe.”

Hana has partnered with LGIM Real Assets and Mitsubishi Estate to create a 242,000 sq ft development at 245 Hammersmith, including a public plaza, urban park and retail and restaurant space. According to head of business space development at LGIM, Simon Wilkes, “Hana and 245 Hammersmith share a common vision: to utilise smart and thoughtful design in order to positively impact how people work.”
