Media giant Lambert Smith Hampton has confirmed that ITV is looking for a 20,000–25,000 sq ft in central London to house a new, 100-cover capacity restaurant and “world class” themed attraction based on its TV shows, which it predicts will attract approximately 300,000 tourists a year.
This follows ITV’s plans to develop a massive 300,000 sq ft headquarters at South Bank, which is due to begin construction in 2019, and the company also hopes to open this new scheme next year.
In a statement made about the new plans, a spokesperson for ITV explained: “As part of our business we have a team which operates experiential events around our programmes, including the Emmerdale Studio Experience and This Morning Live, and are always looking at new ways to expand this and bring in new programme brands.”
