Reef Group submits plans for £100 million Cavendish Square retail and healthcare development

Plans for a £100 million redevelopment of London’s Cavendish Square have been submitted to Westminster City Council by Reef Group. The firm intends to transform the 1960s carpark that sits below the Georgian square into a 280,000 sq ft, four-storey retail, wellness and healthcare scheme. Each floor will be up to 80,000 sq ft in size, with ceiling heights of up to eight metres. A new entrance will also be created at Oxford Street.

If the plans are approved, construction is expected to start in 2020, with a proposed completion date of 2022.

According to Reef Group’s joint executive, Stewart Deering, “Reef have worked closely with Westminster City Council in designing a unique and iconic destination for London… The historic Georgian square will be restored to its former glory, becoming more accessible to the public than ever before with improved public realm.”
