Global spirits manufacturer Dieageo may be planning to move its current global headquarters from Park Royal to a more central city setting, and rumours are suggesting that the company has instructed JLL to scout spaces in the region of 155,000 sq ft located in West London or the West End.
The huge international company – which owns some of the world’s biggest alcohol brands, including Smirnoff, Gordon’s and Guinness – has been based in a 157,000 sq ft space at Lakeside Drive near Park Royal underground station for a number of years. However, with the current lease due to expire in 2022, it seems likely that the firm could be looking to move to a location that better fits its global status.
Although both JLL have declined to comment on the move, and a spokesperson for Diageo has said any speculation is “premature”, a source close to the company has said: “It’s not surprising that they want to move. Park Royal is poorly located and very badly connected via public transport. I suspect the building will turn into residential via PDR.”
