Property investor Helical has secured two new tenants for mixed-use scheme The Loom in Whitechapel, taking the building to 93% let.
Fully refurbished in 2016, The Loom offers 100,000 sq ft across 47 units of flexible workspace and has attracted tenants from a variety of different markets. New tenant The Fairtrade Foundation – which has taken 6,400 sq ft of space – joins 35 other companies in the building, including business consultants Twenty Fifty One Communications and app developer Project M. Existing tenant Hey Habito has also signed new leases on 13,600 sq ft across four units – a huge increase on the 3,600 sq ft originally rented by the firm in November 2016.
Senior Investment Executive at Helical, Tom Anderson, says: “These two recent lettings highlight the ever increasing demand for high quality space within the City Fringe from a variety of occupiers and is further evidence of the success of Helical’s strategy of investing in design led, multi-let offices and offering flexible lease terms which allow tenants to grow within our buildings.”
